PAWSitively Drug Free!
We were invited by McCrory Elementary to participate in National Drug Awareness Week. We had our own "day" and the kids brought goodies for the dogs and cleaning supplies for us. Our hearts were overjoyed to see all the generous gifts from the kids...and thanks especially to the parents who sent the gifts! Special thanks to Mr. Lowery and Mrs. Ava Simmons for inviting us...we love taking our passion to the public!
October 2010: $3,000 for the dogs??
We still can't believe it! Down South BBQ and Reynolds Flying Service hosted a dinner/auction for the rescue and it was a huge success! With vet bills over $1000 every month, this was an amazing gift of generosity from the entire community...thank you to everyone who helped, donated and bought items at the auction. And thank you Claudia and Michelle for putting this together!

PENNIES for PAWS
The Augusta preschool helped us take care of our fur babies by bringing their change to school for several weeks. We visited them weekly with one of our rescues and we talked with them about pet care and safety. We had so much fun!
Anna Kate and Hillary show them a bit about handling a cat and Lacy and I are answering the many questions!
We have several young volunteers who help us any chance they get...whether it's raising money, taking care of the dogs, fostering or just wearing our tshirt...we LOVE kids and LOVE to have them involved!
Dillon and Dalton Reynolds helped get the dogs to their transport to their forever home!
Summer 2010: ARCare held a "Paws for a Cause" dog wash for us in August and the turn out was amazing! Thank you ladies!!
THANK YOU to Delta Kappa Gamma for choosing us as their service project...they gave us several bags of much needed dog food and continue to donate monetary gifts for spay/neuters and vet services. It's an honor for us to be chosen and we greatly appreciate it!
December 2009: WOW! The Augusta First Baptist Church's 50 Plus members raised chose us as the recipient for their annual charity auction! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I just can't tell you how much we appreciate this support. We have two fur kids that need heartworm treatment before going to their forever homes and this will pay for it!
We were asked to speak to the Augusta BPW (Business and Professional Women) at their October (2009) meeting and they collected several bags of dog food for the rescue. THANK YOU...we enjoyed visiting with you and sharing what we do.
We want to say THANK YOU to all of those who make contributions of any kind to the rescue...our list is now too long to print! We can't continue without this support!
Bill Berry and Porter's Inc. helped in a big way with their donation to help with the renovations to the Augusta shelter and spay/neuter discounts.
Thank you to Bruce and Karen Broughton and MAD BUTCHER for all the doggie donations for the silent auction! And to Houston for his hours volunteered at the shelter!
