Many of our dogs are adopted out of state and through other rescues that we work with. We've been told that many adopters choose our dogs because of the obvious care they are given. This page is for those adopters so they can meet us!
We have many volunteers in many different areas of the rescue...transport, cleaning, fostering, photo taking, promoting adoptions, fund raising...and the number is growing. I'm so thankful for each and every one and we couldn't be successful without them. But these ladies have been with the rescue from the beginning...and they have my back! They are always ready to do whatever needs to be done so we can get these babies to their forever homes.

Cathy Parker...foster mom
Cathy loves these babies...and they are crazy about her! Very dedicated to rescue, she fosters anywhere from 10-15 at a time and spends alot of time working with them. Cathy often times takes the dogs into her home to live with her and her 5 dogs...two of which are special needs dogs she took home from the rescue. She also burns the road up taking them to and from the vet and meeting new adopters from out of town. As of the summer of 10, Cathy cares for the dogs at the Augusta Shelter as well. These dogs now get daily TLC while they wait for their forever homes.

Michelle Hyde...foster mom
This lady shares my passion for rescuing these dogs! We first met when she brought in a mama dog with babies she found abandoned. She adopted the mama dog and two pups and has recently adopted Bailey, the black terrier in the picture. She fosters 5-8 dogs at a time, does transport and is also my partner when we take our dogs into the community to schools and the nursing home.

Linda Cooper...foster mom
This lady is wonderful at spreading the word about the rescue and generating funds. She's always willing to lend a helping hand and does much of our driving to and from the vet and to meet the transports that take our dogs to their forever homes. Below is her husband Dick...we call him Foster Coop! The pups ADORE him! They foster a few pups at a time and spoil them rotten!

Karen Broughton...treasurer
Karen writes our checks and helps take care of our Petfinder and Facebook sites. She takes awesome pictures of the dogs for their listings, helps with fund-raising and transport when she can and always comes through with an honest opinion on any question asked...even if it's at 2:00 am!

Lisa's love for these animals shows in the number of abandoned dogs and cats she has rescued from the rural areas and brought into the rescue...pictured here with Sugar, one of our favorite Happy Tails. She is awesome with public relations and fund-raising and also helps with transport and fostering any chance she can.

And then there's me...I'm the one that started this effort! :) I do it all...but primarily take care of the 30 plus dogs that I house here at the rescue. Most of the puppies are cared for here and the dogs come here before leaving on transport. I keep up with all of the adoption paperwork and vetting records for the dogs. I am humbled every day at our success and feel very blessed.
